Birthday Boy

It's Justin's birthday today (Dec 6th) so let's all wish him a big...

Happy "good on you mate" Birthday!!

Here's a couple pics Laura sent us to celebrate Justin's humble beginnings - isn't he cute? (I know he'll get me back for this on my birthday!)

(Laura wondering just what exactly is so cute about baby brothers)

(Justin practicing for a future of 4wd tracks in the outback!)

Thanks Laura :)

Happy Birthday!

What do you get a man who has to pack everything into a backpack? You'll have to accept our well-wishes instead.

I don't know who came off the worst here, I think big sis did since babies are always cute. "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" is not my favorite picture of myself. Happy Birthday again little brother!

I love old family pictures :) I hope you have a great birthday Uncle Justin! Oh by the way, graduate school is way overrated! I hope your time goes well wherever you are staying for the time being!

Thanks for all the well-wishing! I think it's time I started figuring my age in hex instead of decimal.

Sorry sis, I guess my naturally photogenic self was coming out early. At least nowadays when you see me I'm more likely to wear trousers.

Sarah: grad school is all about persistence. I don't know what else to say...it seems like more fun from the distance of a few years, but I don't remember having all that great a time. The idea that it's all an academic wonderland where everyone is dedicated and intelligent and thoughtful is well....conveniently mythological. Have fun, make some connections, try to figure out what you want to do, and don't sweat the rest. (*gets off soapbox*)

Those photos are great! You're right - Justin will have to get you back for that in March! ;)

Justin - Happy Birthday!!! Aren't you happy to not be celebrating this birthday knowing that you will have to take a long bus ride to work tomorrow morning? Also - did you pack that soap box with you - or did you get a new one in AU? lol

Ahh....grad school. Yea... I want in - but it sounds so bewildering. Stephen is doing ok this semester - but he's so ready to get past the classes and assignments and on to some real research.

Have fun in the Daintree Rainforest!!! We will have to make it there one of these days!

Daintree is hot and humid this time of year. Come when it's drier! I miss California, but I'm glad to not be getting up at 4:30am every morning
