Happy Birthday Christina!

Happy birthday, sweetheart. You seem as young as ever. Just don't forget to smile.

It's been a crazy year on the road. I think that if we can survive living side by side out of vans, landcruisers, and backpacks, we can take on anything! It's been my fortune to spend it with you, and - even if the day to day has driven us crazy sometimes - I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Here's to another year of new sights and old friends, new crafts to experiment with and old crafts to grow expert in, new foods to try and familiar foods to remind us of home. May your next birthday find you further along the path to your - and our - dreams.

Love,

Justin

Happy Birthday Christina,

What will be your first big weaving project? Despite your fears, Justin didn't dig up any bad pictures--just the opposite. What a nice birthday tribute. Hope you do something special to make this day stand out in a very special year.

And a Happy B from here as well. I love the weaving. It's beautiful. Yet another skill to add to your list. (And more interesting gear to buy when you've settled back at home. =)

Happy Birthday sweetheart.

What a lovely note from Justin. Did you have a birthday cake? Or perhaps a fried banana?
I'm putting in an order for a table runner - that loom looks just the right size. Maybe with a little gold thread worked in.
It's cold and a spring blizzard is on the way - it has probably already hit Corn. Tell me you miss the snow just a little bit:)

Hi everyone - thanks for the birthday wishes :) The weaving lessons were great fun and there's an authentic balinese backstrap loom on a slow boat back to OK right now! It might be awhile before I'm taking orders though - haha :)

A very belated Happy Birthday Christina. The rice paddies look wonderously green, but hot and humid, especially if the boys are using leaves to keep the sun off. Justin, I enjoyed your birthday tribute. It's fun to read what you both write. The weaving looked like it was going to be beautiful. Let me know when you think you are open for "orders". Your brain will have so many new neurons by the time you are both done and get "home"! Take care of yourselves. How do you not get sick eating off the streets and don't forget the mosquito repellant! Just a little reminder :)

I'm glad you have made it out to Cairo now. It was great to talk to you yesterday!! I can't wait for you two to make it out to Colorado in September.
I wish that Stephen and I were in Cairo with all of you! But for now, we're enjoying the great Boulder summer weather. Keep taking lots of photos!
